Instructional drawing from the 1960s,
a guide with three colours and three simple stitches. The centre of the drawing shows how the leaves were embroidered in the past when this design was sold as a small purse pattern: stem stitch, long and short stitch and satin stitch.
Embroider the Leaf Swirl as Nordiska suggested, or change the stitches to whatever you like to practise.
Please note: this is a printed panel, not a purse pattern as it was in the 60s.
We have centered and printed the design without the outlines of the original purse so that it can be used for many other projects and ideas.
